1 more appt. to go......

I have one more dr. appt. until this little boy makes his appearance. The other nite I was having lots of stuff going on and thought maybe I wouldn't make it til November 5th.... but since then nothing really has happened.... bummer.
The dr. this morning said theres been no change since last week's appt. Said my cramping, swelling, etc. is all normal and just to keep going about my days as I have been. My group B strep test did come back positive, but that doesn't matter much since I'm having a csection.
So other then my mood becoming more sour each day, everything else is progressing fine. 16 days and counting..................

22 days.....but who's counting??

Had my dr. appt. yesterday with Dr. Martin. I'm 1 whopping centimeter dialated and 75% effaced. According to him, my baby is still "high as a kite." Ummm yeah I know that, he's living in my ribcage!! He doesn't see me going into labor before my csection date of 11-5, but I'd love to prove him wrong!! This baby could come anytime soon, if it were up to me!
I asked him how big he thinks he'll be, and he said "well he won't be the smallest baby in the nursery." We're both guessing a good solid 8 pounds.. so we'll see!!
My friend Kary had her twins 2 weeks ago and they are just delightful!! I have another friend Jenn's baby shower this weekend--- lots of babies around now!!!
So I have 2 more scheduled dr. appts. over the next 2 weeks and then its baby time!! YIPEE!! And I THINK we have a name.... I'm just not sharing quite yet!! :-)

One Month From today.......

I'll be having my csection!! 31 days til I hold my little guy!! So exciting and so close, yet so far away.
All in all, its been an easy pregnancy and I have no huge complaints. But things are definitely getting more uncomfortable lately and easy tasks are no longer easy. I'm planning on wearing flip flops from now until he's born because its too difficult to put on socks and shoes! I'm annoyed having to get up and pee a minimum of three times per nite! And going up and down stairs to do laundry or other tasks isn't an easy process anymore...... But again, as I complain I tell myself I wouldn't have this any other way and I'm so thankful things are going well.

Starting next week, I go to the doctor weekly....and unless my body starts to labor on its own and we need to move up the surgery date, his birthday will be November 5, 2010. I'm scheduled for surgery at 1:30 pm with Dr. Martin. He's the doctor in the practice that had to perform my D and C after the miscarriage, so I'm excited to have a happy surgery with him!!

The baby's room is all set up and ready to go.... clothes are washed and put away. The cosleeper is set up next to our bed, and a pack and play is ready downstairs for daytime use. Only a few more little things need to be purchased and we're all set!! Faith is beyond excited and loves talking to my belly and talking about what things are going to be like in the future. Last nite we had a talk about his first Thanksgiving and first Christmas!!

I had hoped when starting this blog to have a more detailed account of this pregnancy, however I haven't kept up with it too well. Life has sorta gotten in the way, I guess. But all I know is how thankful I am to be carrying this baby boy and how eager I am for it to be November 5th!!
